Most of us spend a lot of time very focused on our path; we set goals every year, we journal, we read books, listen to podcasts, take courses, and visualize ourselves with that ideal job or business, that perfect partner, the financial freedom, the house. It’s a new year, and with that usually comes new year’s resolutions. This time of year, the internet is going crazy, flooded with articles about how to stick to your resolutions, how to finally lose weight, and how to make this the year that you make six figures. It’s the same old stuff year after year after year, and honestly? I think we’ve heard it all before. Most people’s resolutions don’t stick past the 30 day mark (hello really enthusiastic two weeks at the gym before Cheetos and Netflix sets back in) and you’ll find literally thousands of blog posts and articles on how to make those resolutions really last this year.

Goal setting is HUGE! Without goals to work towards, success is pretty much impossible. It’s in your nature to need to grow, think bigger, and want more. Goals give us something to look to, something to focus on, and something to get us through the times that we want to give up and never work again. Goals are good. Goals are necessary.
