I bet you’ve probably heard something along the lines of “you shouldn’t use medication for anxiety or depression” at some point in your life. There’s such a stigma behind all things related to mental illness, but particularly when it comes to medication. Why is that, do you think? I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of hearing stuff like that, because medication to treat mental illness can literally save someone’s life.

Before you start thinking that I’m pushing medication on people,

Toxic relationships. We’ve all been there at one point or another. The lies, the cheating, the manipulation – unfortunately these are all things we’re all far too familiar with. But are you aware of the subtle signs that you or someone you know are in the middle of a toxic relationship? Here’s what you need to know and what you can do about it.

If you’re interested in hearing about my personal experiences being in a toxic relationship when I was younger,

Forgiveness. We’ve all heard the word before, but do we truly understand the meaning of it? Do we really know how to forgive in a way that’s healthy for us? What are we supposed to do when someone has hurt us in a way that feels unforgivable and won’t apologize? How do we navigate the difficult times when forgiveness seems completely out of the question. And finally, do we truly understand the impact that choosing not to forgive can have on our own well-being?

So, this is a difficult thing for me to write about, as it’s an incredibly personal struggle that I’ve just recently been able to overcome. It’s something I struggled with for a long time, completely alone and in silence. It’s not something that’s easy for me to talk about, but it’s an incredibly stigmatized topic that needs someone to shine light on it. So that’s what I’m here to do today.

What is vaginismus?

I’ve never been someone who particularly enjoys exercising in and of itself. Sure, I’ve found activities that I’ve enjoyed that just so happen to also provide exercise (I’ve always loved dancing, for instance), but I’m definitely not some sort of fitness guru by any means! My journey with fitness has been a struggle, particularly in the last year or so. I’ve struggled to stay consistent with anything I was doing, which resulted in not getting desirable results.

Now before you all start saying I’m a crazy person, let’s just take a minute. Hear me out! Obviously we all know that periods have a lot of unfortunate parts to them. Believe me, I would know! I’m the girl who’s cramps are sometimes so painful that they make me nauseous. And they were even worse when I was a teenager before I began birth control pills. That being said, I really do think that periods sometimes get a bad rep despite all of the good things they provide our bodies with!

Staying with our theme of kick-ass confidence, let’s cross a whole ‘nother line and talk frankly about a subject that’s a little taboo: Botox, injectables, and beauty that hurts like a bitch. I’m not one to sugarcoat things, so I’m pretty open about my love for a little medi-spa help here and there, but I’ve found that I get a lot of backlash because of the business that I run. For some reason, people tend to think that because I preach self love,

Ok, this is going to be a fun week. After recent more intense subjects, I’m pretty ready for a week of fun, uplifting, super girly and maybe slightly taboo/crazy blog posts. The theme of this week is all about kick-ass confidence; we’re going to talk feeling sexy & empowered, rocking body confidence, getting real on botox and sticking needles in your face, and how to find your ‘thing’. Obviously, I want to start off with a bang,

It may not be a five letter word, but it’s a dirty word to SO many people. The ‘D’ word that people whisper and try to cover up. The big ol’ DEPRESSION (that was me yelling it really loudly because I give absolutely no fucks).

There’s no secret that there is still a stigma around depression and anxiety, even though it’s becoming increasingly clear that these afflictions affect a lot of people.
